意义：通过有体系的研究方法和分析工具，解释所谓的客观的经济新闻的真面目，也就是说，揭示经济新闻中语篇，权利和意识形态的关系，鼓励读者用批评的眼光阅读和思考。

1. The origin and development of CDA
Critical linguistics, the early form of Critical Discourse Analysis, emerged from the publication of Language and Control by Roger Fowler, Gunther Kress, Robert Hodge and Tony Trew, a group of scholars from university of East Anglia in 1979. Fowler and his collaborators found the defects of the dominant formal analysis of discourse which just emphasized the problem of what, and argued that more attention should be paid to why and how particular discourses are produced. In their view, each particular form of linguistic expression in a text wording, syntactic option, etc. has its reason. There are always different ways of saying the same thing, and they are not random, accidental alternatives. Fowler holds that difference in expression carries ideological distinctions.
Critical discourse analysis provides theories and methods for the empirical study of the relations between discourse and social and cultural developments in different social domains (Fairclough, 1995a: 30). CDA analysts seek to arouse peoples consciousness of the patterns of belief and value which are encoded in language by studying the details of language structure, in the light of social and historical situation of the text. They hold that language is not an objective and transparent transmission as previous linguists proclaimed, but a kind of social practice. That is, language will be unavoidably influenced by ideology and in turn it can exert influence on the formation of ideology.
