3. 国内外研究现状

Looking back at the study of sexist language at home and abroad, we find that many researchers study this topic from the following aspects: the phenomenon of the sexism, the origin of sexist language and the differences in male and female language. Sexist language research abroad is earlier in time than in China, and the foreign research makes more contribution to this field. Particularly the book, Aspects of Language, written by D.Bolinger, is the most famous, and the Status of Language and Women, written by Robin Lakoff , has revealed the status of woman in the society. The research on the sexism in China is late, but some Chinese researchers also make great contributions to this field, such as, Chen Yuan's work, Language and Social Life and Deng Yanchang''s work, Language and culture. The publishing of Sun Rujiang'' work, Gender and Language, also provides this field with some estimable evidences and references.
